Samuel's Nursery

Apologies for the many photos. This blog, while public, is also a little journal of our life. I know one day I'll be thankful to have photos of Sam's Nursery.

So, here is his nursery in no particular order. As well as a few notes about how it came together on a shoestring budget; thrifted, gifted and handmade.

Dresser: Thrifted. kijiji $40
Curtain: Fabric Land $10 I sewed it.
Large Embroidery Print: Thrifted. $10
Small Hymn Print: Etsy, Vintage Verses. $5
S Print: Christmas gift from my sister-in-law

Quilt: My mama
Bumper Pad: Thirfited. kijiji. $8
Crib: Special gift from a close family friend. She purchased new for her two children and then generously gave the crib and change table to me (change table is anticipating my sister's baby at her home - no room in this tiny nursery).
Alphabet Prints: I made using Picnik
Silhouette Prints: Etsy, Nella Designs. $20. A bit of a splurge. It is in the nursery until the boys share a room, where it will fulfill its true purpose.

Orange Chair: Thrifted at an auction. $2. When Cory and I were first married it was amongst our first used furniture. I still love it and oneday I hope to reupholster it. For now, orange is cheerful in Sam's room.
Pillow: Etsy, $20. Another splurge. A purchase I regretted. I shouldn't have spent the money here. But I can now look at it and enjoy it instead of feeling guilt.
Hanging boat: Dollarama $1
Elephant decal: Dollarama $1
Bunting: I made this from scraps of scrapbook paper and ribbon.

absolutely beautiful Nessa! I think the pillow was worth it, it really makes the chair work.
