June

The month of June has been delightful, but I've spent more time in the sun (or the rain) then in front of the 'screen'; so here is a little catch up.

We had a wonderful time at the Ottawa/Russell RP Church Picnic. Good food, fellowship and fun. I am noticing that my experience of social events has taken another drastic change as the boys have reached a new stage of more independent play. I was busy trying to keep both eyes on both boys in different directions! Henry loved the Parachute play (can you tell?) and Samuel watched wistfully. One day soon, little man. They both loved the park. Henry, Matthew and Isaiah played very well the entire afternoon. I enjoyed the brief mama fellowship while we all chased after our littles.

While Daddy and Henry attended our annual camping trip with friends, I decided to stay behind with Samuel who would be quite challenging in a tent and at a campground. Cory and I talked about bringing him and what strategies we would employ (I think we'd have to literally tie him to a picnic table) and decided it would be best if we stayed home.

Samuel ended up having his own fun helping Grandpa collect the hay bales. It was his first time on the tractor. He was *very* serious but stayed intent on helping and refused to get off.

That weekend Samuel also got this first haircut. A #4 all over. So did Daddy. A #4 all over, that is :)

Friday the 25th we had such wild rain storms that we had to leave in the middle of supper to stand on the front porch and watch the rain pour and overflow out of the gutters, watch the lightening in the sky, and listen to the incredible thunder. The boys were mesmerized. God's creation is so amazing.

We celebrated Auntie Dee's Birthday Hawaiian style (despite the serious Cory face he was more than happy to join in on the Hawaiian fun!)

The rest of our June has been spent puttering around the house, in gardens, visiting and fellowship, Mom's Birthday, Father's days, and the regular routine. So many blessings.
